Why

This site was started as a direct result of our own efforts to find a suitable pub to run.

This is a site aimed at those looking to enter the pub trade and run your own pub. Owning and running a pub is appealing to a lot of people and is still a very popular thing to do even in a recession and with 52 pubs currently closing every week.

The information available today online for pubs for sale is often mixed and tainted with vested interests from all sides.

After spending many hours  reading through forums on the Publican and the Morning Advertiser and seeing the arguements from all sides and trying to find some other angles i was a bit shocked when i posed the question on the forums myself and it was removed by the moderator.

The truth is that if these forums are so heavily moderated then there needs to be a place where all sides can discuss, argue and debate without it being deleted if a few facts become uncomfortable for a few people.

We intend to have recorded interviews from all sides in order to bring the very best information to help you to make a decision based on having some research done and recorded that you can tap into and listen to when it suits. This will all be on download format to listen to in your car, in the gym or when you are walking the dog.

I am also posting a diary of our own search for a pub, follow our progress and see for yourself in real time what we are learning and feel free to comment, join in and post on the articles as and when they are posted.
